Description
In May and June of 1953, the Loudoun County School Board underwent changes with the appointment of a new school trustee to represent the Mount Giloa District. J.T. Hirst was elected to this position following a meeting of the Trustee Electoral Board, chaired by J.S. Whitmore. The appointment was made official by Division Superintendent O.L. Emerick, with the support of other board members including James Arnold, E.F. Marshall, James W. Ashton, Shirley Myers, D.N. Myers, and Miss Ruth M. Emerick.
